THE DOWLING POOLE news update

Good news in that some new music is due soon from the Dowling Poole...

This is just getting embarrassing. Haven’t seen you for months, you don’t ring, and you never write so I guess it falls to us to make the first move. Again.

Well….since you ask….we’ve been doing…..some stuff…….details to follow but in brief, all things being equal, there will be a new digital three-track release by the end of the month.

And we’ve got a new shop together, which you’ll find here, with all things ‘Dowling Poole’ on there, including T-shirts, posters, CD’s and a handful of vinyls and other odds and sods.

You may already have heard that we’ll be playing one last show before the end of the year supporting The Wildhearts at Ginger’s annual birthday bash at The O2 Forum in London. You can get tickets here.

Meanwhile, thanks to everyone for pointing out my immense weight gain in the photos of the Dr Hook band. I can’t fault your observations, but I would offer in mitigation that Dennis plies me with assorted chocolates and vegetarian pork(ish) pies, after every show, and you don’t refuse gifts from the New Jersey boss.

For those who have asked about tickets, the Dr Hook tour is mostly sold out but they have very kindly offered me a couple of guest tickets at a handful of shows between now and Dec 10th. I will be posting these tickets availability on the day of the gig concerned on our Facebook page ‘here’ and the first person to respond to the gmail address with a contact number will get the tickets and I’ll get in touch a few hours before the show, to let you know.

Jon has been busy working all summer and we’re both tied up now until December, but we managed to find some time to record some new stuff together which you’ll get to hear soon, and as I mentioned earlier, the first wee taste should be coming your way by the end of the month.

Looking forward to seeing you in December at The Forum.
