Chart watch w/e 9 October

Pixies debut at no. 7 with ‘Head Carrier’, whilst Opeth debut at no.11 with ‘Sorceress’ as the rise and rise of the band continues. Joanne Shaw Taylor debuts at an impressive no.19, whilst Drive-By Truckers come in at no.29 – their highest UK album chart placing to date.

Veterans the Mission make no.38 with their new album, ‘Another Fall From Grace’. This is the band’s first top 40 album since 1992’s ‘Masque’.

Epica debuted at no.46, whilst the Beat featuring Ranking Roger made no.49 with their first album in over thirty years. Eric Clapton’s liave album made no.70 and Jimi Hendrix’s Filmore East show made no. 80. Van Der Graaf Generator came in at no.88 and just in the top 100 at no.100, is ‘Double Take’ by Frankie Miller.
