One for your collection…The WILDHEARTS Earth vs. The Wildhearts

The debut album by the Wildhearts still sounds great some 23 years since its original release back in 1993. They were signed to a major label in East West, part of Warners and the A&R man was Dante Bonutto, legendary writer with Kerrang! and RAW magazines.

The line-up was Ginger (vocals/guitar), C.J Wildheart (guitar/vocals), Danny McCormack (bass) and Stidi (drums). Twelve songs of classy pop punk rock, from the sing-a-long ‘T.V. Tan’ through to the fast punk beat of ‘Suckerpunch’, not one filler tune. Listen out on ‘My Baby Is A Headf**k’ for no only the late Mick Ronson on what is thought to be his last studio recording, but for Willie Dowling banging away on the piano.

Ginger and the Wildhearts are still going strong and there have been many offshoot and related bands like Jackdaw4, CJ Wildheart, Silver Ginger5, the Dowling Poole, Eureka Machines et al.
