Bryan Adams live at the O2 Arena

It has been a while since I last saw Bryan Adams live, 1987 at the GMEX in Manchester to be precise! I have been a fan since hearing the ‘Cuts Like A Knife’ and of course the classic ‘Reckless’ album.

He still has guitarist Keith Scott and drummer Mickey Curry from that tour, both adding greatly to the show and sound. A hits heavy setlist and he must be one of the few artists who ends the gig, solo on stage and in acoustic mode. Like the 1987 gig he played for well over two hours, playing the songs and minimal between song banter.

The newer songs of ‘Get Up’ slotted well into the set and they sounded much rockier and lively in a live setting.

I certainly won’t be leaving it so long until next time I see him. One of the best live performers out there.

Fellow GRTR! reviewer Andy Nathan sums up Bryan Adams live in his excellent gig review here.
